"Established in Melbourne, Australia in 1999, Senses of Cinema is one of the first online film journals of its kind and has set the standard for professional, high quality film-related content on the internet."  (from their website)

Stefano Miraglia - artist, curator and founder of Movimcat - is one of this year's contributors invited to select outstanding films made both in 2021 and older films encountered for the first time in 2021. The designated films and those selecting them are from throughtout the world.

Sun Song was premiered at the conclusion of my video essay, Beyond Quiet. Published by Nomadica, it can be viewed at my blog Posting #27. Sun Song was made in response to Brakhage's Mothlight.

A multifaceted, international series of video essays was inaugurated by Circuito Nomadica in April 2021. This exquisitely produced series will be available for viewing in perpetuity.

Based in Brescia, Italy, Circuito Nomadica, a world-wide network devoted to experimental moving images and scholarly pursuits, has launched an innovative series of video essays. The overall project site provides a translated introduction, program notes, list of participants and information on this remarkable undertaking. Warm thanks to Giuseppe Spina, Giulia Mazzone, Stefano Miraglia and others on the Nomadica crew for such a wonderful job!

I've contributed an essay entitled, Beyond Quiet, at the end of which my film, Sun Song can be viewed.
